MARVIN ARMSTEAD SR.
HEAD COACH
With six years of dedicated coaching experience, Coach Marvin has become a respected figure in the soccer community. His journey began in 2019, and since then, he has made a significant impact on numerous teams by fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork. Known for his strategic mindset and ability to inspire athletes, Marvin emphasizes communication and discipline, helping players achieve their personal best on and off the field. Under his leadership, teams have seen remarkable improvement, not only in their skills but also in their overall sportsmanship. ASSISTANT COACH
Coach David Bynum is a dedicated parent and volunteer coach who brings passion and patience to the field. Known for his positive energy and supportive coaching style, he’s loved by players and parents alike. As a lifelong soccer fan and long-time recreational league soccer coach, he taught his sons the game from an early age and now has two of his four children proudly playing with Rapid Fire FC. Coach David’s hands-on coaching style, focus on fundamentals, and team-first mindset help foster a positive environment for player development both on and off the field.
DAVID BYNUM JR
JUNIOR COACH
David Bynum Jr., DJ, one of Rapid Fire’s Junior Coaches has been playing soccer since the age of 5 and is a two-time First Team All- Region selection. After a standout high school career, DJ is headed off to continue his academic and athletic journey as a college soccer player. As a Junior Coach, DJ brings a unique perspective to training—combining high-level playing experience with the ability to relate to younger athletes. He leads with positive energy, patience, and a strong work ethic, making him a role model for our players both on and off the field. DJ is committed to giving back and will return to assist with training sessions, practices and development sessions, helping our athletes grow into strong students and teammates shaping the next generation of student athletes.

For the past four years, Tamika Armstead has been transforming young soccer enthusiasts into skilled players. With a vibrant and strategic approach, Coach Tamika is dedicated to developing not just athletes, but well-rounded individuals. Her coaching emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and a genuine love for soccer, encouraging each player to reach their full potential on and off the field. Coach Tamika's teams have consistently excelled in local tournaments, known for their sportsmanship and unity. Passionate about making soccer accessible to everyone, she actively engages in community initiatives, hosting clinics and workshops to inspire the next generation of players. With over seven years of experience as a dedicated soccer coach, Charles Pegues began his journey with a simple yet powerful motivation—his son. Wanting to support his son’s passion for the game, he stepped onto the field and quickly discovered his own calling in coaching. Since then, Charles has brought a positive, energetic mindset to every training session and match. His coaching philosophy centers on fostering a team-first mentality, where collaboration and mutual respect drive both individual and collective growth. He takes pride in developing players’ technical skills through structured, progressive drills tailored to their specific needs, while creating a supportive environment that builds confidence and resilience. Throughout his coaching career, Charles has prioritized clear, open communication to align players with team goals and objectives. He believes that success on the field begins with shared purpose and accountability.
JAELIN JOYNER
JUNIOR COACH
Jaelin began playing soccer at the age of 5 and his love for the sport continued to grow as he played on the JV and Varsity team at Woodside High School. His passion for the sport, knowledge of the game and his team player attitude makes him a great addition to the team. Jaelin promises to bring a positive perspective to Rapid Fire as a former player and avid soccer fan. As a Junior Coach, Jaelin will be there to offer advice and develop the players skills, while supporting these young athletes as they take their game to the next level.
